Elizabeth Wolstein is an experienced trial and appellate advocate. Prior to joining Kobre & Kim LLP, Ms. Wolstein served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, where she was Deputy Chief Appellate Attorney.
Recent Engagements:

Representation of a private investment firm against Lehman Brothers, Inc. seeking more than US $1 billion in damages arising from a US $600 million investment by our client that became partially illiquid
- Representation of a public company in a US $600 million+ suit against Oppenheimer & Co. and Merrill Lynch for alleged violations of securities laws and broker-dealer duties
- Representation of a financial institution in connection with a FINRA investigation into internal procedures pertaining to information sharing within the institution
Prior To Kobre & Kim LLP:
Ms. Wolstein served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney and Deputy Chief Appellate Attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York where she was responsible for litigating cases involving tax, bankruptcy, False Claims Act, constitutional torts (law enforcement context), privacy, constitutional challenges to statutes, immigration, and regulatory matters.
Before her time at the U.S. Attorney's Office, Ms. Wolstein also clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and was also in private practice at law firms in New York, working on various litigation matters, including securities, commercial and criminal defense cases.
