Lara Levinson focuses her practice on complex civil litigation, internal investigations, and asset forfeiture and recovery matters.
Recent Engagements:
- Representation of an audit committee of the board of directors at an international consulting firm in connection with internal investigation into revenue recognition practices under investigation by the Securities & Exchange Commission
- Representation of institutional investors in actions against JP Morgan Chase, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, and other banks regarding more than US $2 billion of disputed fixed income investments

Representation of a large foreign bank in a dispute against a Wall Street investment bank arising from the collapse of a US $2 billion credit facility
- Representation of an investment trust before the U.S. District Court and the U.S. Appeals Court for the District of Columbia in connection with U.S. enforcement of foreign restraining orders against US $400 million of trust assets
Prior To Kobre & Kim LLP:
Ms. Levinson served as a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Division, Commercial Litigation Branch in Washington, D.C. where she received the Civil Division Special Commendation Award. Ms. Levinson also served as Associate General Counsel at the National Gallery of Art, Office of the Secretary and General Counsel, where she was responsible for managing and advocating for the National Gallery on a variety of litigation matters.
After law school, Ms. Levinson served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Anita B. Brody, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
